PROJECT TYPE
Interactive Exhibit
LOCATION
Saratoga, NY
Empire had the pleasure of installing this fun exhibit for the Saratoga Children’s Museum. This project was finalized during the pandemic and certain modifications were made to allow for social distancing and enhanced sanitation measures. Fishing poles were limited to two with the option to easily revert to four if desired. Plush critters were replaced with plastic for easy cleaning. To ensure safety, face masks were worn by our install team.
The interactive exhibit features many fun ways for children to learn and play at the same time. The magnetic fishing game teaches about the native fish in Saratoga Lake. The dock station teaches the children how to tie some basic boating knots. There is a life jacket bin where children can snap on a life jacket before climbing into the boat and learning about boating safety while having fun steering and shifting. A puzzle game called Life in the Water teaches children about invasive species while they have fun placing the toy animals into their homes.
From the start, the interactive displays were designed with safety and cleanliness in mind. All new surface areas are made of high pressure laminate for easy cleaning. Corners are rounded to eliminate sharp edges.
